Learning Management Systems - Canvas

Canvas is a web-based tool for teaching, learning, and collaboration. All Dartmouth classes are automatically provisioned with a Canvas site. Canvas integrates with many other teaching and learning tools used at Dartmouth. New features, enhancements and bug fixes are applied to Canvas every three weeks.

Canvas is developed and hosted by Instructure.

All Canvas users log into Canvas with their Dartmouth NetID and password.

Approved guest users need to obtain a Dartmouth NetID and password in order to access Canvas.

Dartmouth faculty, students, staff, alumni.

ChromeOS
iOS11 and newer
Android 5.0 and newer

Canvas supports the current and first previous major releases of the following browsers:
Chrome
Firefox
Flash
Edge
Safari
Internet Explorer 11 has not been completely compatible with Canvas since July 2018.

Journeys Platform

Journeys is powered by the open source WordPress platform and hosted for Dartmouth by CampusPress. Journeys allows students, faculty, and staff to create and collaborate on learning portfolios, class blogs, class projects, and both student blogs and journals.
