Install KeyAccess for Mac


KeyAccess is a utility that is required to run KeyServed software. If you have a problem running any KeyServed application, make sure you are running the latest version of KeyAccess.

  1. Download the installer for Mac OS X 10.9 or higher
  2. Click Save File.
  3. Double click ksp-client-78-latest.pkg to begin the installation.
    1. In newer versions of macOS, you may see a prompt that the installer cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
    2. Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General.
    3. Click Open Anyway next to the message about ksp-client-78-latest.pkg.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the KeyAccess installation.
  5. When asked for the KeyServer address, please make sure the address is
  6. You must restart your computer after downloading and configuring KeyAccess.


KeyAccess is a utility that is required to run KeyServed software.  KeyAccess includes a control panel with a KeyVerify tool to test checking out a license.  Note that MacOS 12.x (Monterey) requires version 7.8 or later.  In order to run KeyServed software, you must have a connection to the Dartmouth network.
