Gene Construction Kit for Macintosh

Gene Construction Kit allows graphic manipulation of DNA sequences and plasmid drawing options.

This application is KeyServed and requires KeyAccess be installed on your computer, as well as a connection to the Dartmouth network each time you run Gene Construction Kit.

  1. Download Gene Construction Kit.
  2. Double-click the GCK45-M-update.dmg file mount it
  3. Drag the GCK 4.5 folder into the Applications folder.
  4. Open the GCK 4.5 folder, then Control-click on the Gene Construction Kit application and select Open from the contextual menu. If prompted to allow Gene Construction Kit to open, click Open.
  5. By default, Gene Construction Kit will use the GCK Data folder that is located in the GCK 4.5 folder.
