Power BI is a free o365 app. If you need the Pro version, it can be purchased through Dartmouth's Computer Store. Use this service to order.
The main difference between Power BI Free & Power BI Pro lies in your ability to create and share dashboards with other team members. Power BI Pro users can publish content to app workspaces, share dashboards with other Power BI users and subscribe to dashboards and reports. Power BI Pro also integrates with Microsoft solutions you already use like Office 365, SharePoint and Teams.
How to download and install
The Power BI client application can be found and downloaded from the Online Power BI app by navigating to https://o365.dartmouth.edu.
You should see Power BI online on the landing page. Click on it to open Power BI online, then find the download button on the navigation bar across the top of the screen on the right.
If you are not seeing Power BI on the O365 landing page, click on the 3x3 grid of dots in the top left corner and select All Apps. Scroll down in the side bar to find Power BI.
