How to install GreenPrint on Mac, Windows, and Linux

MacOS

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to Eduroam (on-campus) or the MacOS version of GlobalProtect VPN (if off-campus/not connected to Eduoram). 
     
  2. Navigate to https://greenprint.dartmouth.edu:9164/setup in a browser. 
     
  3. Click on Download.


     
  4. Run installer pc-mobility-print-printer-setup-1.0.42[greenprint2.dartmouth.edu].dmg

    Note: Do not change the name of the installer or the install will fail.





  5. Follow installation prompts.








     
  6. After the installation is complete, go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners to ensure that GreenPrint-PC is installed onto your Mac.


     
  7. On your first print you will be prompted with username and password. Enter your NetID and Dartmouth Password, click Ok.

Windows

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to Eduroam (on-campus) or the Windows version of GlobalProtect VPN (if off-campus/not connected to Eduoram). 
  2. Navigate to https://greenprint.dartmouth.edu:9164/setup in a browser, click on "Download."


     
  3. Run installer pc-mobility-print-printer-setup-1.0.250[greenprint2.dartmouth.edu].exe

    Note: Do not change the name of the installer or the install will fail. 


     
  4. Click "Yes" when asked if you "want to allow this app to make changes to your device?"


     
  5. Select your preferred language for installation, click "Ok"


     
  6. Toggle "I accept the agreement" in the License Agreement then click "Next."


     
  7. Scroll down in the Printer Selection window and toggle-on the "GreenPrint-PC [pprct-app01-prd]" printer/option then click "Next" (please be sure no other printers/options are toggled on as this could lead to confusion/error when trying to print in the future). 


     
  8. Enter NetID and password then click "Next."

     
     
  9. After installation click "Finish."

     
     
  10. Open Settings > Blutooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners to ensure GreenPrint-PC [pprct-app01-prd](Mobility) in the list of Pinters & Scanners. 

iOS

Note: Mobility Print supports iOS 9.2+

  1. Make sure your phone is connected to Eduroam (on-campus) or the mobile version of the GlobalProtect VPN (if off-campus/not connected to Eduoram). 
     
  2. Navigate to https://greenprint.dartmouth.edu:9164/setup on your iOS device and click "Download."


     
  3. When prompted, click "Allow."


     
  4. Next, navigate to your iOS device's Settings.


     
  5. Once you have navigated to Settings, click on the "Profile Downloaded" tab.


     
  6. Next, click "Install" in the top right of the pop-up screen.


     
  7. Enter your iOS device's passcode.
     
  8. Confirm by clicking "Install" again.


     
  9. Click "Done" and back out of your settings. 


     
  10. You are now ready to print. Please see the GreenPrint - Ways to Print article for clarification on how to print. 

Android

Note: Mobility Print supports Android 4.4+

  1. Make sure your phone is connected to Eduroam (on-campus) or the mobile version of the GlobalProtect VPN (if off-campus/not connected to Eduoram) 
     
  2. Navigate to https://greenprint.dartmouth.edu:9164/setup on your Android device and click "Install or update."


     
  3. This will bring you to the Google Play store where you will then be prompted to install the Mobility Print app. Click "Install."


     
  4. After the Mobility Print app installs, launch the application. 
     
  5. Once the app is launched, when prompted, click "Allow" to allow Mobility Print to send you notifications.


     
  6. Next, ensure Mobility Print Service is on by taping on the highlighted field. 


     
  7. Ensure the toggle next to Mobility Print is in the "on" position. If not, simply click the toggle once and it will reflect the image below. 


     
  8. You are now ready to print. Please see the GreenPrint - How to Print article for clarification on how to print. 

Linux
