When opening a file in Office 2016 for a Mac application (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), the file opens in read-only or enable edit mode. In the open app, an Office365 account is not signed in. Signing into an account generates the error message: "Another account from the same organization is already signed in."
To switch accounts, please go to Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access, clear all entries including the 'Office' keyword, and then restart the app.

To resolve this issue, use the Keychain Access app to delete any password entries that contain "Office." To do this, follow these steps:
- Start the Keychain Access application.
- In the Search field, type Office.
- Delete any entries that are found. Note: You should find between two and six entries.
- Exit the Keychain Access app, and then try to sign in to Office 2016 for Mac again.
