Mouse or keyboard no longer working.

  • Restart computer.
  • Does mouse/keyboard work plugged into a known working USB port on same computer.
  • Does mouse/keyboard work connected to a known working USB port on another computer.
  • Does a replacement mouse/keyboard work connected to a known working USB port on same computer
  • Does a replacement mouse/keyboard work connected to a known working USB port on another computer.
  • Has software been installed for a 3rd party mouse or keyboard?
    • Does that software need update or rollback?
    • Check compatibility with OS X version.
    • Remove vendor software, and test, often the native OS X can accommodate for a 3rd party mouse/keyboard without vendor software.
