- Does mouse/keyboard work connected to a known working USB port on another computer.
- Does a replacement mouse/keyboard work connected to a known working USB port on same computer
- Does a replacement mouse/keyboard work connected to a known working USB port on another computer.
- Has software been installed for a 3rd party mouse or keyboard?
- Does that software need update or rollback?
- Check compatibility with OS X version.
- Remove vendor software, and test, often the native OS X can accommodate for a 3rd party mouse/keyboard without vendor software.
