Accessing Group Data from Outlook 2016

Step-by-Step

There are two ways to access data stored in an Office 365 Group data: via Outlook 2016 or by logging into o365.dartmouth.edu. It is important to note that you must have Outlook 2016 downloaded and installed from o365.dartmouth.edu in order to see Groups in Outlook. Accessing Groups in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Scroll down in the left column, to below your folders to a section called “Groups”. 
  3. Click the karat (little triangle to the left of Groups) to open your Groups.
  4. Click the Group you want to access.
  5. Click the appropriate icon within the group to display the data you're interested in viewing - calendar, conversion, files, tasks, etc.

Accessing Groups from a Web Browser

  1. Log into o365.dartmouth.edu and click Outlook from the list of applications that appear.
  2. Scroll down in the left column, to below your folders, to a section called “Groups”. If groups are not displayed, click Folders at the top of the left column to move up one level.
  3. Click the Group you want to access.
  4. Click the appropriate tab within the group to display the data you're interested in viewing - calendar, conversion, files, tasks, etc.
