Instructions for Windows:

  • Uninstall the Citrix Workspace app through Add or Remove Programs.

  • Restart the workstation.

  • Download the ReceiverCleanupUtility.zip file.

  • Extract the data from the zip file and save to a location on the workstation.

  • Once extracted, right-click on the ReceiverCleanupUtility application and choose Run As Administrator.

  • WARNING: It is very important to run as administrator.

  • Restart the workstation once the utility completes.

  • Open a browser window, clear browsing history, cache, and cookies for all time.

  • Download Citrix Workspace.

  • NOTE: This is for Windows 10 only. If you need the Citrix Workspace app for earlier versions of Windows, please refer to this link: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/  NOTE: During the Citrix Workspace installation if you see a window asking you to add an account, this is not a feature we are using. You should click the box at the bottom for "do not show this window automatically at logon" and then close the window.

  • Right-click on the install utility and Run As Administrator. WARNING: It is very important to run as administrator.

  • When the install is complete, try to re-login to RAMP.

  • If a "Welcome to Citrix Workspace app" screen appears, click "Detect Citrix Workspace app"

  • If the following page appears, click Already installed.

  • Test that all applications function as expected.

Citrix Workspace Application Installation Problems Reddit Solution

Solution from Reddit Thread below:

  • download the Citrix Workspace installer. do not try to use it yet.

  • right click and click "Create Shortcut".

  • create a folder in C: that can be called anything probably; I called mine "temp"

  • move the shortcut you created into your new folder. do not try to open it yet.

  • right click the shortcut and select "Properties".

  • there is a field that says "Target". type a space after the text already in there, followed by the text "/forceinstall"

  • click "apply"

  • if you try to use it at this point, it will give the error that OP got. so just go to command prompt and type what this person said ("sc delete ctxapinject") and (crucially) restart your computer
