Name Pronunciation in Gmail Email Signature

After recording your legal and/or chosen names, you can embed a pronunciation link in your email signature.

Here's one way to create an email signature containing your "Hear my name" link using the Gmail interface in your web browser.

1. Log in to Gmail using a web browser and click on the Gear icon:

2. Click on the "See all Settings" link:

3. Scroll down to the "Signature" section and click the "+ Create New" button (you may have other existing signatures listed here):

4. Enter a name for your new signature and click the "Create" button:

5. Enter some text:

6. Assuming that you'd like to use an image in your pronunciation link, click the "Insert Image" button in the editor's toolbar:

7. Make sure that "Web Address (URL)" is selected, paste the image url

where prompted. When you see the image, press the "Select" button:

8. Select and highlight the entire image that you inserted in the signature and click the hyperlink button in the toolbar:

9. When the "Edit Link" editing box appears, enter your custom pronunciation link you can get from your Student Profile page in the space provided and click the "OK" button:

10. If you want to always use your new signature every time you create a new email, confirm that your email address is shown correctly, select the name of your new email signature in the pulldown and click the "Save Settings" button:

After creating your email signature, it should appear when you compose a new email:
