You need to update your emergency address within the Zoom phone system whenever you change locations if you are using a software-based phone (e.g. the Zoom application on your computer and/or cell phone). This is so if your Dartmouth phone number is used to call 911, the 911 responders will know where to find you. This should be the physical location where you are working; not your hinman box location.
If you have a hardware-based phone (e.g. Polycom), the network automatically updates the location of your physical phone if you move it.
To update your emergency address:
- Open a web browser and log into dartmouth.zoom.us using your NetID and password.
- Click Phone in the left column, then the Settings tab.
- In the Emergency Address section, click Edit which appears at the far right side of that line.
- Click Choose a Company Address.
- In the Search box that appears, start to type the street address of the building in which you work (e.g. 23 Tuck Mall).
Note: If you don't know the street address for your building, or if what you enter doesn't appear in the list, go to the online campus map found at https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/c4dc377aa6724b718bc92757cc7a7bdd. In the Find address or place field, type the name of your building (e.g. Cummings). The correct street address for that building will appear.
- Scroll through the list until your room number appears, then click on it to select it.
Note: If you work in a larger building, you can enter your building's street number and name, followed by ", RM ###" to get directly to your room number (e.g. 23 Tuck Mall, RM 101).
- Click Save.
