Dartmouth’s phone service is transitioning from GoTo to Zoom Phone. This will provide:
- Integrated video and voice communications platform. Need to leave during Zoom video call? You can transfer it seamlessly to your phone, and bring it back to your computer when you return
- Reduced number of software applications needed on computers and mobile devices, while eliminating problems when using head sets or microphones as clients don’t fight over them anymore
Phone numbers, physical phones, and headsets will remain the same. Once phone numbers are moved, calling and texting will be available right from the Zoom client on your computer/cell phone. In the fall of 2023, departments will be contacted with further details about the service and moving phone numbers.
