Overview
The CrashPlan app will be updated to version 11.2 starting on November 11, 2023.
Note - the scheduled automatic update to CrashPlan did not occur for Windows computers. It should start updating later on today, Monday, November 13th.
Here’s what will happen:
- The CrashPlan application on your computer will be automatically upgraded, to version 11.2.
- To allow the upgrade to take place, your computer(s) with CrashPlan need to be online, awake, and connected to a reliable network
- The CrashPlan application can still receive the 11.2 upgrade even after November 11th
After the upgrade - Check on the status of CrashPlan on your computer
- Macintosh users - You may be prompted to grant Full Disk Access permissions to the CrashPlan application.
- PC and Macintosh users - Check on the status of your CrashPlan application
- Please do this after November 11th
- Open the Crashplan application and log in to check the status.
- If prompted for a username, the format is your netid@dartmouth.edu, then press return to complete sign in with your NetID and password.
- If you see Waiting to Connect, we would recommend shutting down your computer, then start up again to give the CrashPlan background service an opportunity to restart.
