Statuspage - Outages Templates

Table of Contents

 

Incident

           [Name of System or Service]

Do not include a prefix in the Incident title.  For example, do not enter "Incident - System Name" or "Major Outage - System Name", just enter "System Name".

Creating

Post New incident (i.e. Investigating)

  • ITC is investigating [degraded performance, a partial outage, a major outage] with [name of component].  Affected applications include [list impacted applications/features if needed].  We will provide another update as more information becomes available.
  • [vendor name] is investigating [degraded performance, a partial outage, a major outage].  Affected applications include [list of impacted applications/features if needed].  We will follow up as additional information is available from the vendor.  

Update                   

Update incident (i.e. Identified or Monitoring)

  • ITC has identified the issue affecting [name of component] and is working to restore service.  We anticipate service will be restored in [amount of time].  We will continue to provide updates here.
  • [vendor name] has identified the issue and is working to restore service.
  • A fix has been applied and all systems are performing as expected. We're continuing to monitor for any recurring problems.


Closing

 Close incident (i.e. Resolved)

  • [ITC or vendor name] has resolved the incident. If you are still experiencing issues with [name of component] then please submit a ticket through the Services Portal

 

Maintenance

           [Name of System or Service]

Do not include a prefix in the Maintenance title.  For example, do not enter "Maintenance - System Name" or "Scheduled Downtime - System Name", just enter "System Name".

Creating

Post Maintenance (i.e. Scheduled) (will include Date/Time pickers so no need to enter start/end dates or times) 

  • ITC will be performing scheduled maintenance on [name of component].  Services related to [list of impacted applications/features] [will be available/unavailable] during this event.  We appreciate your patience.  If you have questions about this event then please contact [Contact Information].


Update

Update Maintenance (i.e. In progress or Verifying)

  • Maintenance for [name of component] will be extended [amount of time] for more testing.
  • Update on [name of component], ITC would like you to know [describe update].
  • Scheduled maintenance for [name of component] is currently in progress.  We will provide updates as necessary.
  • Scheduled maintenance has been postponed for today.  We will post further updates here once a new maintenance window has been established.

Closing

Close Maintenance (i.e. Completed)

  • ITC has completed the maintenance on [name of component].  If you experience any issues please submit a ticket at our Services Portal.
