Moving a Call from One Handset to Another

Tags jive

There are two different ways in which you can move a call from one device to another - call parking and call flipping. This is different than transferring a call to a different number.

Call Parking

Within the GoToConnect phone system, if you answer a call on one device (either a hardware-based phone or a software-based phone), you can "park" the call, then go to another device for and pick up the call from there.

For example, if you answer a call using GoToConnect on your computer in your office, and you want to continue the conversation using GoToConnect on your smart phone, you can "park" the call in your office. Then pick up your cell phone and resume the conversation.

To pick up a "parked" call using GoToConnect Mobile or a Poly desk phone, dial *37# - where # is the number of the parked call spot you used to park the call.

Call Flipping

Within the GoToConnect phone system, if you answer a call on one device (either a hardware-based phone or a software-based phone), you can "flip" the call to another device with the same extension and continue the call from there.

To "flip" a call, go to the device where you want to continue the conversation (this can be GoToConnect or a Poly phone), and call *77. If the second device is a multi-line phone, make sure that you call *77 from the same line where the caller is.
