Software to Download

Dartmouth offers a variety of educational software and storage options for use while you are affiliated with the College. The available software includes, but is not limited to,

• Microsoft Office 365 (also available online)
  • The full suite is available for free to download and install on up to 5 devices. 
• Google Workspace (online service or Chrome web apps)
• Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • The full Creative Cloud suite is available for free to all Arts & Sciences Undergraduate and Graduate students. The license allows you to install this on up to 2 computers at a time. 
• Slack
  • A communication platform utilized by some faculty in their classes and various groups across campus. 
  • Most incoming students do not receive their Slack invitation until closer to the start of their first term. You will receive an invite email once you are granted access. 
• Additional software available for Mac computers
• Additional software available for Windows computers

Recommended Software

We recommend that you download and install the following software:

• Microsoft Office 365
• Zoom
• One cloud storage service: Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive (Based on preference)
• DartAlert
• GreenPrint
• Either Google Chrome or Firefox

The following software is optional, but could be useful or required for some classes:

• Adobe Creative Cloud
• GlobalProtect VPN

All of the core software can be found at our Software Center, your one stop shop for links to download and instructions to install. Feel free to download only what you need and come back for anything that you missed later.

Software Center

• Mac users can download the Dartmouth Software Center application to easily download and manage updates on their computer. 
• Windows users should install the applications directly from the web-based Software Center.
