Geographic Information Systems Software for Apple Macintosh computers - ArcGIS Desktop and QGIS

ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro run only on Windows Operating Systems (Windows OS).  To use these applications on Mac, you can configure your Mac to boot in to either MacOS or WindowsOS using Apple's free "Bootcamp" application.  More details at https://support.apple.com/boot-camp

Another option is to install a virtual machine that can run Windows, using Virtual Box, Parallels, or VM Ware

QGIS is a geographic information systems application that runs on a Macintosh OS.  It is available at the link below.
