Geographic Information Systems Software for Apple Macintosh computers:
- ArcGIS Online - available in a web browser - instructions to log in and start using ArcGIS Online with your Dartmouth NetID
- QGIS Desktop - runs on Mac OS and PC's, download and install instructions at the site. Geographic Information System with mapping, spatial visualization, spatial analysis and decision-support capabilities.
- Install and use a virtual PC with Windows & ArcGIS Pro (Parallels for Mac desktop software, VMWare, Oracle's Virtualbox, for example)
ArcGIS Pro run only on Windows Operating Systems (Windows OS). To use these applications on Mac, you can configure your Mac to boot in to either MacOS or WindowsOS using Apple's free "Bootcamp" application. More details at https://support.apple.com/boot-camp
