Step by Step
Click on the desktop or the Finder icon in your dock make the Finder the active application. Then, from the menu bar, click
Go
then
Connect to Server...
or use the keyboard shortcut
⌘ + K
In the
Server Address
field, enter in
smb://<server name.dartmouth.edu>/<share name>
Note
: Each division has its own server name in the format "OF_<division>" (e.g. OF_Provost) so you will need to know the name of the division server you are trying to connect to.
Click
Connect
.
In the
Name
field enter your NetID; in the
Password
field, enter your password.
If you want to have this drive accessible to you automatically any time you start your computer, place a check in the
Remember this password in my keychain
field then follow the directions in the
Setting Up a Permanent Connection
section.
Click
Connect
.
OurFiles
should now appear as a computer that you can connect to.
