Listserv - Mail template "HTMLMAIL-ARCTICBLAST" not found

For Listserv list owners.

New listserv list subscribers receive a You Have Been Added to the <listname> List message. At the top of the message is the error >>> Mail template "HTMLMAIL-ARCTICBLAST" not found <<<

Solution

The HTMLMAIL-ARCTICBLAST template was removed as part of the recent Listserv 17.5 upgrade. This was unexpected.  Listserv support suggests removing the ".IM HTMLMAIL-ARCTICBLAST" lines from the TEMPLATESTYLE template. And a better choice would be to switch to HTMLMAIL-DEFAULT. The HTMLMAIL-DEFAULT would use the Dartmouth colors that the site uses. 

Log in to listserv.dartmouth.edu

  • From the List Dashboard, select your list
  • Select Mail Templates
  • Select ADD1 template
  • Scroll to bottom of template, in the Embedded Template section select TEMPLATESTYLE
  • In the TEMPLATESTYLE widow update Template Style to HTMLMAIL-DEFAULT
  • Click Update button to save changes.
  • New subscribers will then receive the You Have Been Added message using the updated template style.
