Slack's Deprecation Schedule

To ensure a consistent user experience, Slack deprecates support for app versions, browsers, and operating systems (OS) twice per year. You can still access Slack if your OS is not supported, but your app is up to date. However, you will not receive future updates to the Slack app. Slack will notify users six months before deprecation to allow ample time for planning and upgrading.

On September 1, 2021, the following operating systems will no longer be supported by Slack:

  • Windows 10 1903 and older
  • macOS 10.13 and older
  • iOS 12 and older
  • Android 7 and older

For a full list of operating systems and app versions that will be deprecated, see Slack's Deprecation Schedule.
