Windows: Step-by-Step

Install the plugin

  1. Sign in to
  2. Click on Download for the Microsoft Outlook Plugin at the bottom left.

  1. Click on Save File in the popup that appears. Once it is finished downloading, double-click on the file to run the installer.
  2. Follow the prompts in the installer until it finishes.
  3. When you open Outlook, there should be two buttons for the Zoom Plugin in the top-left corner under the Home tab.

Sign in to the plugin

  1. Before you can use the plugin, you will need to sign in. Click on the Schedule a Meeting button in Outlook.
  2. If you are not signed in already, a sign-in window will appear. Click on Sign in with SSO.

  1. In the field for the domain, enter dartmouth, so that it reads Click Continue.

  1. A Dartmouth login window should appear. Enter your Dartmouth NetID and Password and authenticate with Duo to sign in.
  2. Once you are signed in, you should see a window appear with settings to schedule a meeting.

Mac: Step-by-Step

  1. Under the Home tab in the Mail view of Outlook, click on Get Add-Ins at the top right of the ribbon menu.

  1. If Get Add-Ins is greyed out, go to Outlook > Preferences > Privacy, and make sure that the checkbox for "Turn on Optional Connected Experiences" is checked.
  1. Search for “Zoom for Outlook”.
  2. Add the Add-In.

  1. The new Add-In should appear when you create or open a calendar event.

  1. Before you can use the Add-In, you will need to sign in. Click on the Settings icon and select Sign in with SSOat the bottom.

  1. Enter Dartmouth in the text field, so that it reads Click Continue.

  1. Log in with your Dartmouth NetID and password, and check the box to "Remember me for 30 days". Then, authenticate with Duo.


If the Add-in or Plugin are no longer working in Windows

Change the Web Browser default to either Firefox or Chrome (Edge or IE are not compatible)

  1. Click on the search icon in the bottom left of your Task bar or click in the search box in the same area.
  2. Type in Control Panel and click enter.
  3. Click on the Default Programs icon.
  4. Click on the icon under the Web browser list.
  5. Change the default icon to either Firefox or Chrome.
  6. Click the x on the top right of the box to exit and repeat.

If the Zoom add in is still not showing up in the Outlook Calendar

  1. In Outlook, click on file and then options.
  2. Click on add-ins.
  3. Under manage, choose disabled addins then go.
  4. Highlight the Zoom plug-in and click enable.
  5. Close out of Outlook then open it back up.
