Install the Zoom Outlook Add-In for Windows or Mac

Windows:

Note: To install Zoom for Outlook on the Outlook desktop app, you must have a Microsoft Exchange account added to Outlook. Click the File tab to view accounts added.

If you only have an IMAP account, use Zoom for Outlook on the Outlook web app.

  1. Open Outlook and sign in to your account.
  2. In the upper-left corner, click the File tab.
  3. In the navigation menu, click Info then scroll down and click Manage Add-ins.
    Outlook will open a browser to manage your add-ins. If prompted, sign in to your account.
  4. In the Add-Ins for Outlook window, search for Zoom for Outlook and click Add.

Mac: Step-by-Step

  1. Under the Home tab in the Mail view of Outlook, click on Get Add-Ins at the top right of the ribbon menu.

  1. If Get Add-Ins is greyed out, go to Outlook > Preferences > Privacy, and make sure that the checkbox for "Turn on Optional Connected Experiences" is checked.
  1. Search for “Zoom for Outlook”.
  2. Add the Add-In.

  1. The new Add-In should appear when you create or open a calendar event.

  1. Before you can use the Add-In, you will need to sign in. Click on the Settings icon and select Sign in with SSOat the bottom.

  1. Enter Dartmouth in the text field, so that it reads Dartmouth.zoom.us. Click Continue.

  1. Log in with your Dartmouth NetID and password, and check the box to "Remember me for 30 days". Then, authenticate with Duo.

 

If the Add-in is no longer working in Windows

Change the Web Browser default to either Firefox or Chrome (Edge or IE are not compatible)

  1. Click on the search icon in the bottom left of your Task bar or click in the search box in the same area.
  2. Type in Control Panel and click enter.
  3. Click on the Default Programs icon.
  4. Click on the icon under the Web browser list.
  5. Change the default icon to either Firefox or Chrome.
  6. Click the x on the top right of the box to exit and repeat.

If the Zoom add in is still not showing up in the Outlook Calendar

  1. In Outlook, click on file and then options.
  2. Click on add-ins.
  3. Under manage, choose disabled addins then go.
  4. Highlight the Zoom add-in and click enable.
  5. Close out of Outlook then open it back up.
