Device Configuration

Device Configuration Services provides support to customers interested in utilizing the client computer configuration tools available in Jamf (Macintosh computers, iOS devices) and SCCM (Windows computers).

Goals of the Service include:

  • Centralize and provide more extensive computer client health and protection services across campus.
  • Eliminate duplication of services and identify and minimize gaps.
  • Identify the appropriate tools for each request and develop policy, standards, guidelines, and clearly defined processes around them.

Examples of requests include:

  • Assistance with packaging an application for deployment to devices
  • Implementing a configuration change to prevent a known issue from occurring on multiple devices
  • Update or patch software that is already being provided through Jamf and SCCM
