Device Configuration Services provides support to customers interested in utilizing the client computer configuration tools available in Jamf (Macintosh computers) and SCCM (Windows computers).
Goals of the Service include:
- Centralize and provide more extensive computer client health and protection services across campus.
- Eliminate duplication of services and identify and minimize gaps.
- Identify the appropriate tools for each request and develop policy, standards, guidelines, and clearly defined processes around them.
Examples of requests include:
- Assistance with packaging an application for deployment to devices
- Implementing a configuration change to prevent a known issue from occurring on multiple devices
- Update or patch software that is already being provided through Jamf and SCCM
