Unauthorized Access or Account Locked Error

If you attempt to access a Dartmouth system and receive an error that you are not authorized to access the system, it may be that your account has become locked.

In 2015, Dartmouth increased security to require at least one question answer in addition to entering your NetID and password to authenticate into many of it's web-based systems.

If you have answered your questions incorrectly, please contact your department's IT support office. We will need to verify your identity to assist you in unlocking your account. If you do not know the correct answer to a specific security question, you will need to reset all of your security questions. When you contact us be sure to have access to a computer and not a mobile device so that you are able to reset your questions.

If the account that is locked is a Student Organization, the Owner of the Organization account will be contacted to get permission to help you with resetting the account password and/or Security Questions.
