How to Change Phone or Hinman Number in Employee Self-Serve Portal

Step-by-Step

  1. Start at the Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal and login with your NetID and password if prompted.
  2. Click the triangle to expand the section Dartmouth Employee Self-Service.
  3. Click on Personal Information.
  4. To make changes to your Hinman Box, click the Update button in the Basic Information section.
  5. The radio button Enter new information because of a real change to the current details (e.g. because of a change in marital status) is pre-selected. Click the Next button on the upper-right.
  6. Make your changes to the Hinman Box field, then click Next again.
  7. Review your changes on the next screen, then click Submit. You will received confirmation of the changes, and can click Return to Overview.
  8. To make changes to your phone number, click the Update button in the Phone Numbers section. Delete phone numbers by clicking the trash can icon next to the number you wish to delete.
  9. Edit existing numbers, or click the green "+" icon to add a new phone number and update accordingly.
  10. Click the Next button on the upper-right.
  11. Review your changes on the next screen, then click Submit.  You will received confirmation of the changes, and can click Return to Overview.
  12. When all your changes are complete, click the Home icon to return to the Employee Self-Serve portal, or click the Logout button.
