Accessing Your Email from a Web Browser

Step-by-Step

To access your email account, follow these steps.

1. Be sure you are connected to the Internet.
2. Open a browser, and go to bwa.dartmouth.edu.
3. You will be presented with a Dartmouth Web Authentication Page. Enter your Dartmouth NetID and Password and click Login.
4. Next, you will see a Duo authentication screen. Select how you would like to authenticate, either with a push notification, a call, a text, or with a token.
5. You will be redirected to Outlook or Gmail depending on which service you use for your Dartmouth email.

As of April 21, 2026, all incoming students will be provisioned with Outlook as their default email platform.
No new Gmail mailboxes will be created.
