Logging into InCommon Certificate Manager for the First Time with SSO

InCommon Certificate Manager Instructions

The InCommon Certificate Manager allows administrators to securely manage digital certificates. If you need access to the InCommon Certificate Manager, you can request it by submitting an Infrastructure Service Request.

Once your access is granted, follow the steps below to log in for the first time using Single Sign-On (SSO).

Steps to Log In

  1. Access the Login Page:
  2. Locate the "InCommon Federated Login" Button:
    • At the top of the screen, you will see fields for Username and Password.
    • Beneath these fields, you will see a horizontal line and a button labeled "InCommon Federated Login". Click this button.
  3. Select Your Organization:
    • You will be redirected to a page asking you to "Please choose your home organization."
    • From the dropdown menu or search bar, select Dartmouth College.
    • Click Submit or the equivalent action button.
  4. Log In Using Your Institutional Credentials:
    • You will be redirected to Dartmouth College’s identity provider login page.
    • Enter your institutional credentials:
      • Username: Your Dartmouth NetID or email address.
      • Password: The password associated with your Dartmouth account.
  5. Grant Permissions (If Prompted):
    • If this is your first time logging in, you may be asked to grant the InCommon Certificate Manager access to your profile information.
    • Review the permissions and click Allow or Accept as required.
  6. Complete Authentication:
    • After successful authentication, you will be redirected to the InCommon Certificate Manager dashboard.
    • If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, complete any additional authentication steps.

Troubleshooting

  • Access Denied:
  • Login Issues:
    • Ensure your institutional credentials are valid and that your account has access to the InCommon Certificate Manager.
    • Clear your browser cache or try logging in using a private/incognito window.
