Step-by-Step

  • Run Command Prompt as Administrator
  • Enter command net stop winmgmt
  • Enter command winmgmt /resetrepository
  • Reboot the machine
  • Confirm user is able to connect to VPN

If issue persists, complete following steps:

  • Run Command Prompt as Administrator
  • Enter command net stop winmgmt
  • Leave the command prompt open and navigate to Windows\System32\wbem
  • Rename the folder "Repository" to "Repository.old"
  • Switch back to the command prompt and enter command net start winmgmt
  • Reboot the machine
  • Confirm user is able to connect to VPN
