Managing SFTP Credentials on host.dartmouth.edu

Users with web hosting accounts on host.dartmouth.edu can manage files via SFTP shell connections or SFTP applications such as Cyberduck or Fetch. When you first sign up for an account on host.dartmouth.edu, you should receive a welcome email with your SFTP password included in the message. You can change your SFTP password at any time by following the steps below:

  1. Use a web browser to navigate to host.dartmouth.edu/dashboard and sign in with your Dartmouth netID and password.
  2. Hover your cursor over the Manage Your Account button at the top of the page and select FTP Information from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the page that appears, enter a new password in the Change Your FTP Password field and click Submit.
