Hello Colleagues,
Week 4 of working remotely is upon us. We hope you had a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend and that you were able to get outside and enjoy some of the crisp New England spring.
New Working Remotely Resources
Over the past several weeks our colleagues in Finance, ITC, and HR have been developing resources to assist in the endeavor of working remotely.
- Finance Dartmouth Remote Knowledge Base provides information for technical resources for applications, teaching, learning, and working remotely.
- ITC Dartmouth Remote Knowledge Base provides information for technical resources for applications, teaching, learning, and working remotely.
- HR Learning and Development Recommended Resources provides a plethora of resources from Ted Talks, Podcasts, Articles, and recommended books & online learning.
A word about professional development: We encourage you to spend time redirecting your thoughts in productive and mentally enriching activities. There are vast resources in the area of professional and personal development. Dedicate 10 - 15 minutes a day or 1 - 2 hours per week to learning, be it learning an application, such as Excel, or soft skills such as, mindfulness or communication.
COVID-19: Cybersecurity & Fraud
ITC Information Security Office has reported that there has been a significant uptick in phishing and cybercrime attempts. Criminals are taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation and exploiting email and virtual environments with fake government, financial, charitable, and private-sector organizations to steal money, personal information, or install malware. The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) has put out a couple announcements to this affect the last couple weeks. Please review these announcements:
Fax to Email
Konica Minolta can remotely adjust the setting on your machine to have incoming faxes forwarded to an email address. The administrator can then forward the email to the appropriate recipient as a PDF.
To do this, we need the multi-function device’s serial number, IP address (if you know it), and the email address faxes should be directed to. In the likely event you don't have access to this information, please contact Julia Lane at Julia.H.Lane@dartmouth.edu or 603-646-1852. She will be able to obtain this information for you.
