Meet Claude, your Artificial Intelligence (AI) resource provided by Dartmouth to every student and easily accessed with your NetID.
Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) well starts with using it responsibly. Before turning to AI for support on any class assignment or graded work, you must review Dartmouth's GenAI Coursework Policy and the syllabus for each course. When in doubt, ask your instructor: they know their course and expectations best. Every instructor sets their own expectations for if and how AI fits into their class and it's your responsibility to seek clarity from them.
Logging In
Visit Claude.Dartmouth.edu and log in with your NetID and password. That's it, you're in. You can also visit Claude.AI, enter your Dartmouth email, and click "Continue with SSO" (Single Sign On) to reach the same login process. Single Sign On allows you to use the same login and password across many different applications and solutions. If you prefer an app, download the desktop or mobile app and sign in the same way.
Having trouble signing in? Try logging out at logout.dartmouth.edu and signing in again. Sometimes closing your browser fully before retrying does the trick too.
Good to Know
If you had a personal Claude account with your Dartmouth email before January 25, 2026, you can still get to it. Just log in with your personal email and password at claude.ai instead of SSO, and you'll be able to toggle between your personal and Dartmouth accounts from the bottom left corner.
