Apple released macOS Ventura (v13) on October 24th, 2022. ITC is testing its use with Dartmouth systems. Windows 11 has been tested by ITC, and we recommend the following:
- Windows 11 - We will support Windows 11, although we are not recommending that Dartmouth users upgrade. There is not a substantial difference between Win10 and Win11. Computers that ITC manages and are sold from the Computer Store will continue to have Windows 10 installed.
- macOS 13 Ventura - We are recommending Dartmouth users hold off on upgrading to Ventura at least until macOS 13.1 is released. ITC is testing Dartmouth systems with Ventura to confirm that software and peripherals are compatible with macOS 13.
- Apple and ITC support the previous two Operating System versions: macOS Monterey 12, and macOS Big Sur 11.
- With the release of macOS Ventura, macOS Catalina 10.15 is no longer supported by Apple. This means security patches will no longer be released by Apple. ITC recommends upgrading from macOS Catalina to the newest OS that your computer is capable of using: either Big Sur, or Monterey.
- PLEASE NOTE: Currently the GreenPrint system utility "Notify" reports as being damaged and cannot load. If you install macOS Ventura, you may be limited to only using GreenPrint Mobile for your printing until an updated GreenPrint-KM installer can be created.
