Remote/Off-Campus Student Hardware Repair

Details:

Please use this service to submit a repair request if you are a student who is currently remote/off-campus.

The repair shop is able to service computers for students who are away from campus.

If you would like to send in a computer for repair, please fill out the form at right and we will get in contact with you and provide the address for where to ship your computer.

 

Costs:

  • Students are responsible for the round-trip costs of shipping to the Repair Shop. We are unable to ship internationally or to PO Boxes.
  • In-Warranty repairs: No charge for repairs.
  • Out of Warranty repairs: $80 non-refundable labor + diagnosis fee. An estimate will be provided for what parts are necessary to repair the computer.
  • Data Recovery: $50 if we are able to recover some (or all) of the data. No charge if we are unable to recover the data.

Other repair options for students away from campus:

  • Contact the company who manufactured the computer regarding their options for repairs.
  • If you purchased a Safeware warranty, contact Safeware and they may be able to direct you to a local option for repairs under their warranty.
