Managing Extensions in Web Browsers

How to manage your extensions and add-ons with the commonly used web browsers at Dartmouth.

Firefox

  1. Click on the 3 horizontal lines in the top right of your Firefox window
  2. Select Add-ons
  3. This lists all active and disabled add-ons and extensions that have been added to Firefox
  4. You can disable, remove, and sometimes change the options for a specific add-on or extension

Chrome

  1. Click on the 3 dots in the top right of your Chrome window 
  2. Select More Tools
  3. Select Extensions
  4. This lists all active and disabled Extensions that have been added to Chrome
  5. You can disable, remove, and sometimes change the options for a specific extension

Safari

  1. Open the Safari menu on the top left
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Select the Extensions category
  4. You can disable and remove a specific extension

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the 3 dots in the top right of your Edge window 
  2. Select Extensions
  3. This lists all active and disabled Extensions that have been added to Edge. It will also list suggestions underneath.
  4. To disable, remove, and sometimes change the options for a specific extension you have to click on the extension to reveal your options.
