The Dartmouth Computer Store offers multiple options for extended warranties. These warranties allow new students to spend nearly their entire college career without worrying about getting the service they may need The Computer Store (located on the lower level of McNutt Hall) is an authorized repair shop for Apple, HP, Dell and Lenovo.
Standard options available to be added at time of purchase
Apple - 3 year Applecare and Applecare+ policies are available. Applecare+ covers accidental damage, subject to a deductible.
HP - 4 year Accidental Damage Protection policies are available.
Safeware (available for all computer + tablet purchases) - 2-4 year policies are available depending on the value of the equipment and covers repairs (including accidental damage) up to the original value of the equipment, without a deductible.
Safeware may also be purchased up to a year after the purchase of the equipment. If Safeware is not added at time of sale or the equipment is not purchased from the Store, inspection of the equipment and verification of the sale date are required prior to purchasing it.
