About DartGo

DartGo is a URL-shortening service provided by Dartmouth. Faculty, staff, and students with an active NetID can create or manage short URLs and create QR codes for Dartmouth-related websites through DartGo.

DartGo Login

Use your NetID and password to login at: https://dartgo.org/

Step-by-Step Instructions

Create a New DartGo Link

  1. In the “Custom Link Name” field, enter a word that you would like to use as the redirect name (e.g., “my-link-word” results in “dartgo.org/my-link-word” short link)
    • Lower-case letters only: Only lower-case letters, numbers, '-', and '_' may be used; Please do not enter upper-case letters.
  2. In the “Redirect URL” field, enter the URL that you would like to redirect to (e.g., https://home.dartmouth.edu)
  3. Optional: Check the box for “Add Future Destination Link” if you would like to set a time and date to automatically change the redirect in the future. This option allows you to redirect the DartGo link to a second URL starting on a specific date.
    • Future Redirect URL: Enter the URL that you would like the original DartGo to redirect to on the date specified below. The "http://" or "https://" part of the URL is required.
    • Change Date: Set this field to the desired changeover date. On the changeover date, your original link will change to the new redirect URL.
  4. Optional: If you are part of a group and want to share management of the new redirect with members of that group, find and select the correct group in the “Select Ownership Group” drop-down box. If you are not a member of a group, you can create one.
  5. Select “Save” to create your DartGo link/QR code.

Edit an Existing Link or QR code

  1. The “My Links” section at the bottom of the links page includes the links you have created and how many times they have been used.
  2. To edit a link, search for the link you want to work with and then select the edit button. After making your edits, save your changes.

  3. Select the “Create Ownership Group and Become a Member Group” to create your group
