Dartmouth Login is Getting a New Look

Dartmouth is upgrading its login system to Microsoft Entra ID, a modern authentication platform that enhances security and improves reliability when accessing applications. The change will take place on April 4, 2026. The new login experience will appear the next time you are required to sign in.

New Login Steps

IMPORTANT: When logging in, you will now use the format "netid@dartmouth.edu". The system will no longer accept only your NetID.

What is Changing?

Currently, many of your applications use the familiar Dartmouth Login Screen. Over the next year, these applications will be migrated to the new Microsoft Entra ID system.

  • Enhanced Security: This modern platform offers robust security features to protect your account and data.

  • A New Look for Login: The familiar Dartmouth login screen will be replaced by the standard Microsoft Entra ID login screen.

  • You will enter your user name on one screen and your password on the next.

  • The 2 new login screens feature the Dartmouth-branded dark green "D-pine" background. 

  • IMPORTANT: While logging in, you will now use this format "netid@dartmouth.edu" instead of just your NetID. You will continue to use DUO MFA.

What is Not Changing?

  • You will continue to use your Dartmouth NetID and Password to log in. 
  • You will continue to use DUO MFA during the login process, using any of the same methods you used previously.

When Is the Change Taking Place?

This change will occur on April 4, 2026.
