It has come to our attention there is a known issue between Zoom and the Realtek Audio driver, likely instigated by a Realtek driver update. This could potentially occur on any machine with Realtek audio. The fix,  is to disable Audio Enhancements.

 

  • launch Zoom
  • go to Settings>Audio>Advanced
  • change the "Windows system audio enhancements" setting from "Auto" to "Off" and then back to "Auto".
    This will turn audio enhancements off at the system level and, by setting it back to Auto, ensure that Zoom respects that setting moving forward. It also has the benefit of disabling the setting for both input and output devices simultaneously.
