Greenprint Coordinator

The Student ITS staff oversees the general maintenance of the GreenPrint fleet across campus. There are currently 30 printers being monitored, including ten in the Libraries and more in residential or educational buildings around campus. A map of all of the printers can be found here by selecting GreenPrint at the top. 

Each printer should be checked throughout the week, documenting paper and toner levels, and any issues. 

GREENPRINT CHECKLIST

When visiting each printer, please fill out this form. Responses cannot be edited once submitted; if an error was noted, submit a new form with the correct information. Each time you submit a report, the time and user who submitted it will be logged. 

If any error is displayed on the printers, note the error, any applicable error code and any other identifying information. If this is an error that can be quickly resolved by following the steps listed on the printer's display, you are expected to attempt a resolution. If the error is something a Konica Minolta team member needs to resolve, report that on the form and our Konica Minolta service team will check the printer.  

If there is less than one full box of paper at each printer station, order paper on the printer form. Paper will be delivered directly to the printer as needed.

Every printer should have at least one spare toner cartridge at all times, and some printers require multiple inks (color printers) or waste boxes (specified). If a printer is low on toner, report it in the form and replenish the toner supply by pulling the appropriate toner type from 178J. 

Every printer needs to be checked each week, but one person does not have to check all the printers. Printers will be checked on the following rotation:
