Method to install Ablebits on Windows Machines.  This is for A&S Advancement Division.

Install Ablebits for Advancement on Windows Machines

  • Ablebits from Dartmouth Software Center is linked to the following AD security groups. 
    • Advancement_Division
    • Advancement_Tuck
    • Advancement_Thayer
  1. Uninstall old version Ablebits on computer.
    • If an older version of Ablebits is installed on your computer, uninstall it before proceeding.
  2. Install Ablebits from Dartmouth Software Center.
    • Open Dartmouth Software Center, select Ablebits, and choose Install
  3. Launch Excel and open a blank workbook.
  4. Optional: Ablebits tutorial
    • After installation, you may see an optional Ablebits guide or tutorial. This is not required — you can complete it or simply close it.
  5. Access Ablebits from the Excel ribbon
    • Ablebits does not appear as a single icon. Instead, it adds two new ribbon tabs at the top of Excel, alongside Home, Insert, Draw, etc.:
      • Ablebits Data
      • Ablebits Tools
      • Select either tab to access Ablebits features.
