Overview
Vail 513 has been equipped with additional equipment to ensure compatibility with iPads, MacBooks, and Windows PCs. Please follow these instructions when connecting your iPad to the room's display system.
Connection Instructions
-
Connect your device - Locate the HDMI cable on top of the AV cart and plug your iPad into it using the provided Apple USB-C adapter
-
Your iPad should automatically mirror to the display - In most cases, your iPad screen will appear on the room display immediately
-
If the display doesn't appear - Disconnect the HDMI cable from the adapter, (note: this is different than disconnecting the adaptor from the device) wait 5 seconds, then reconnect it. This will force the system to detect your device.
Additional Notes
- If you have Stage Manager enabled on your iPad, you may need to manually send your apps to the external display using the "..." button at the top of your screen. For simple presentations, we recommend using mirror mode instead.
- For more details on Stage Manager, see Apple's support guide (you may need to adjust the iPadOS version for your specific device)
Important Notes
- Do not move or disconnect the AV cart or its cables - This room has specialized equipment that must remain connected for full device compatibility
- The system has been tested and confirmed working with iPads, MacBooks, and Windows PCs
