About Canvas
Canvas is a web-based tool for teaching, learning, and collaboration. All Dartmouth classes have a Canvas site available for use. The Canvas site offers a video library for use and how-to's

How to Access Canvas
- You can access Canvas at https://canvas.dartmouth.edu or by clicking the Canvas button at the top right of your DartHub account.
- Log in with your Dartmouth NetID and password
- When Canvas opens, it's specific to you and your current academic term. You will see a dashboard that includes courses in which you are currently enrolled.
- Courses in Canvas may include - depending on the course and the professor - the course syllabus, reading materials, assignments, discussions, etc.
- It is important to check Canvas often for updates.
- If you drop or add a course, it may take a few hours for it to show in Canvas.
- Canvas supports the current and first previous major releases of the following browsers:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Edge
- Safari
- Mobile/Tablet apps are available for Android and iOS.
Canvas Help
Canvas offers self-help resources and guides. 24/7 live help is accessed by clicking the Help icon in the lower left of the Canvas screen.
