All persons with an active affiliation with Dartmouth (current students, faculty, and staff as well as individuals with sponsored accounts) should connect to eduroam instead of the other Wi-Fi networks on campus. To connect your device to eduroam, please visit wifi.dartmouth.edu.
Visitors to campus without eduroam credentials may connect to Dartmouth Public, Dartmouth Guest, DCAD Guest, or the Passpoint network (if supported by their device).

eduroam is the fastest and most secure Wi-Fi network offered at Dartmouth.
The Dartmouth network is identical to eduroam, except in name. It is visible in areas where eduroam cannot be offered due to capacity concerns, or in areas where Dartmouth College is not the only eduroam member operating a network in the same building.

Dartmouth Public is provided as a free and open Wi-Fi network for guests on the Dartmouth campus. Dartmouth Public is unencrypted Wi-Fi, and therefore is not able to access many on-campus resources (such as GreenPrint, screen sharing in classrooms and conference rooms, Library media and databases, and administrative applications such as Oracle and OnBase). Additionally, because of requirements in the Wi-Fi protocol, open networks such as Dartmouth Public cannot operate at Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 speeds. |

The DCAD network is present in some athletic venues where eduroam is unavailable due to capacity limitations. This network will only function for Athletics Department Staff and devices that have been granted permission to connect. DCAD is not available for use by spectators or visitors. |

The Dartmouth Guest and DCAD Guest networks are present in some locations where Dartmouth Public is unavailable to due capacity limitations.
