The time on my Windows computer is not correct. How can I change it?

Most Windows computers at Dartmouth are managed so the date and time can't be reset by the user. If your Windows computer is not managed, do the following to change the device's time:

  1. Click the Start menu.
  2. Click the settings icon (it looks like a gear).
  3. In the Find a Setting box, type the words date and time.
  4. Ensure that your time zone is correct and also verify that the Adjust for Daylight Saving Time is set to automatic.
  5. Turn off Set Time Automatically if it is on. You can then adjust the time.
