Monitors are black not responding Windows

Issue

Dual monitors are black and sleeping.

Environment

This article applies to Windows with External Monitors

Resolution

1. Check power to monitors

2. Check and make sure all cables are security attached.

3.  If there is a dock, check and see if keyboard and mouse are working by opening the laptop lid and testing.

4. Remove power from dock and re-attach.

5. Restart computer.

6. Manually turn off monitors and turn back on.

7. If Monitors are still not connecting, contact IT Support at 603-646-2999.
