Issue
When attempting to use the Elgato Turbo H264 HD utility to compress raw Quicktime video the application is prompting to keep the Elgato dongle plugged into the computer.
Environment
This article applies to Mac OS
Cause
Version 1.0 of this utility required that the original Elgato hardware be plugged in to function.
Resolution
By downloading the 1.23 version of the software the user should be able to utilize this utility without the need to have the Elgato hardware installed. It will take advantage of the native H264 encoding.
