Dartmouth supports the following operating systems for incoming students:
- Mac OS X 10.14 and higher
- Windows 10 Professional and higher
If you purchase a Windows computer through Dartmouth it will come with Windows 10 Enterprise. If you purchase a MacIntosh computer through Dartmouth it will come with Mac OS X 10.14.
If you bring your own computer and have an unsupported operating system, upgrades to Windows 10 are available to Dartmouth students at discounted prices from Dartmouth's Computer Store. Upgrades to the latest version of the Macintosh operating system are available from the Apple app store.
