Remove Name from Group Mailing List

To remove your name from a group mailing list, the request needs to be made by logging into your Dartmouth account via Outlook for the Web (BWA).

  1. Using a web browser, log in to a Dartmouth email account via the the o365.dartmouth.edu.
  2. Click Outlook.
  3. In the upper right corner of the window, click the gear icon and under Your app settings choose "Mail".
  4. In the Options window on the left, click General, then choose "Distribution groups".
  5. The Distribution Groups window will display "distribution groups I belong to" and "distribution groups I own".
  6. The Groups window will display "distribution groups I belong to" and "distribution groups I own".
  7. Double click the mailing list from which you want to remove your address, then click Leave.
    • If the list is configured as a Closed list, a request to leave will be rejected automatically. Members can only be removed by the group owners.
    • If the list is configured as an Owner Approval list, the request to leave will need to be approved or rejected by the group owners.
