Microsoft has deciced to de-support Internet Explorer (IE) 11 for use with Microsoft 365 apps and services (including browser versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) as of August 17, 2021. This means, that the browser versions of the Microsoft 365 apps and services (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) will no longer be getting updates for settings, security, and functionality, after August 17, 2021.
In anticipation of this deadline and the fact that IE will naturally age out of support with relevant Windows operating systems, we will be recommending users move to fully supported browser versions of Edge, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
We have asked the Dartmouth Community to help us identify applications that depend on IE and people that are using IE, so we can reach out to them to help them transition to a different browser.
