Visitors to Campus:
To connect to the Internet on campus, select Dartmouth Public wireless network from the list of available wireless networks. Dartmouth Public provides unencrypted access to the Internet. No registration or authentication is required to use this network.

Dartmouth Community Members on and off Campus
Dartmouth maintains wired and wireless access to the campus network. A wired connection should be used when available. Dartmouth members using a wireless connection should choose the eduroam network. eduroam also offers Internet connectivity to Dartmouth community members when traveling to many other higher education institutions world-wide.
Wired Network
- Core network: 100gbps (gigabits per second).
- Room jacks: A mix of 1gbps (gigabits per second) and 100mbps (megabits per second).
- A fiber optic backbone organized in a star topology, providing 120+ building networks with 30,000+ active data network ports, as well as a campus-wide wireless network.
Wireless Network
- The wireless network supports 802.11n/ac/ax wireless clients.
- Speeds up to 450mbps are supported.
Internet Access Speeds
- Commodity Internet: 4gbps (gigabits per second).
- Internet2 network: 8gbps (gigabits per second).
